Hi there, I'm a TRPG player from Plurk—it's a pleasure to receive your work!
Since I couldn’t find your account, I wanted to explain a bit about how the Plurk community works. The platform has a warning system for accounts that send out mass private messages. Also, since it's a community with mostly Chinese-speaking users, someone sending links in English without any self-introduction is often seen as a scam account and may be reported.
I hope you can take some time to learn about Plurk's community etiquette before returning. Best wishes!
Thank You very much! Sorry, when I saw so many people interested in CoC, I felt it will be OK to share with them. So how do You suggest I should introduce myself at the start?
Thanks for offering this. I do think it's funny how many people didn't realise this is for inspiration purposes for fictional worldbuilding, not an attempt at historical fact. 😂 I do a lot of similar barely-historical worldbuilding for CoC.
Some of the most retarded shit I've seen, factually wrong on every line. No, mathematics does not describe the real world, no the Sea Peoples weren't defeated in some general battle by Egypt, no the Indus civilization didn't disappear for unknown reasons - there were climactic changes that caused it. The author is likely fifteen.
Thanks for reading and feedback! But, You know - this is supposed to be collection of hooks for the horror scenarios. Fictional ones. So e.g. no "the Indus civilization didn't disappear for unknown reasons - there were climactic changes that caused it" This is just one of theories, we are not 100% sure it was climatic changes. So, in the FICTIONAL RPG scenario we can pretend that it was caused by some Lovecraftian mumbo-jumbo. You know, for the sake of the story and fun. Best regards!
Slight issue, Nodens ia a Celtic deity, which is where Lovecraft got him from, I didn't know the name and looked him up where I heard it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nodens
Thanks for feedback. Yes, I know that original Nodens was Celtic god, but 1) in framework of fiction we could interpret him as many gods under many names 2) I wrote chapter referencing Norse mythology, but not wrote Celtic one (at least yet) 3) Lovecraftian Nodens is defined mostly as hunter of eldritch abominations and enemy of the Crawling Chaos, which in my eyes was pretty corresponding with Odin as the one who leads fight against cratures of Chaos in Ragnarok. Plus as I wrote in the full text (BTW have You read it yet?) concept of Ragnarok is for me extremely Lovecraftian in itself - wolrd of humans (and human-like gods in this case) will one day be crushed by the monstrous forces of chaos, it is inevitable. Although when HPL's answer was despair, Norse one is "Nah, doesn't matter we will still fight as long as we can".
